Adtec is Out of this World
Edje powers Clear Channel's SPACE

NASHVILLE, TN –     Adtec Digital's edje players are out of this world, powering the video content for Clear Channel Exhibition's new exhibit, SPACE: A Journey to Our Future.
"Almost every motion-image, content-bearing exhibit element is being sourced from an Adtec edje," says Benjamin Lein of Associates in Media Engineering. "We have over 20 units in this exhibit."
Adtec's edje is an MPEG digital video player and network appliance designed for integration into global multimedia networks, facilitating dynamic audiovisual presentations.
"It features excellent decoding and playback of streaming video," Adtec VP of Sales and Marketing, Ron Johnson, said. "The edje provides absolute presentation control enabling reliable content delivery for multimedia applications."
SPACE is a 12,000 square foot, major science exhibit, highlighting a combination of education and entertainment.
"The exhibit will travel to major science centers and museums in 12 to 15 North American cities over the next five years," Public Relations Director for Clear Channel, Libby Tilley, said. "The purpose of the exhibit is to ignite the desire for discovery, spark imaginations and inspire a new generation of explorers in space." Among the four sections of the exhibit, Adtec edje's are delivering content for Mars Base Camp, a motion-simulated mission aboard a Mars Orbiting Space Station to a re-created base camp on the Martian surface. Space makes its debut on Nov. 22 at Seattle's Pacific Science Center and will run through April 9, 2004.
Space is made possible by General Motors with additional support by the Space Day Foundation and Lockheed Martin. The exhibit is produced by Clear Channel Exhibitions in educational collaboration with NASA and the National Science Teachers Association.
