Adtec Boasts Digital Signage Solutions
at Digital Retailing Expo 2004

NASHVILLE, TN –     Adtec Digital is displaying its line of digital signage products at the Digital Retailing Expo, Oct. 11 & 12 in Las Vegas, Nev.
"Adtec serves a variety of clients employing a digital signage solution," Western Regional Accounts Manager, Bob Derryberry, said. "Applications for Adtec products include museums, themed attractions, stage shows, cruise ships and nightclubs. Adtec products enable interactive multimedia presentations for endless application possibilities."
Adtec displays the edje-DVD, a hard drive digital video player and MagicBox's Aavelin RT, a digital signage and video message system, connecting to a TCP/IP network allowing the playback of MPEG clips, advertisements and video presentations.
"The Adtec and MagicBox solution not only enables quality video with graphics and crawl lines, but in addition, changes are made via a network," Derryberry said. "Adtec and MagicBox's products have a history of compatibility, suiting various digital video applications."
Adtec also displays the edje-L digital video player with built-in QPSK satellite receiver accepting a satellite feed and distributing content to the edje-2000 Real Time MPEG 2 encoder. Content is then played back to an edje-1013 digital video player.
"The edje-L digital video player and network appliance supports MPEG-2 video and audio, receiving schedules and commands via satellite that can be directly utilized or stored on the local hard drive," Derryberry said. "The edje-L is ideal for a location wanting to incorporate broadcast news into their captive audience network."
Adtec's edje-2000 is a contribution quality encoder capable of converting analog video and audio into an MPEG-2 transport or program stream.
At a price far below that of similar products, the edje-2000 supports both DVB-ASI and IP platforms, satisfying the encoding needs for contribution and distribution, as well as the IT space where IP based distribution is critical.
Adtec's edje-1013 is an MPEG digital video player and network appliance designed for integration into global multimedia networks, facilitating dynamic audiovisual presentations.
"It features excellent decoding and playback of streaming video as well as capabilities for synchronous video," Derryberry said. "The edje provides absolute presentation control enabling reliable content delivery for multimedia applications."
Adtec Digital designs and manufactures innovative technology for digital television delivery, IP streaming, commercial insertion, and multimedia digital video applications.
