| NASHVILLE, TN -Adtec Digital introduces the adCode, a media-ingest station, at IBC in Amsterdam, Netherlands, Sept. 9-13, 2005. The adCode, a component of adVantage, Adtec's enterprise ad insertion solution, fulfills the function of a studio encoder and interfaces with Adtec's Traffic and Billing Gateway Server (TBGS) to provide content to the entire interconnect. New media is ingested and prepared for storage and distribution to headends. Sources can be tapes, DVDs or content from FireWire™ from nonlinear editors. "The adCode supports Cable Labs VOD and SCTE encoding standards and provides enterprise-level future proofing," Cable and Broadcast Sales Manager, Scott Pierce, said. "Because Adtec's commercial insertion products support analog switched, digital uncompressed switched and transport-level "spliced" insertion, we are positioned to support global broadband operators' ad insertion needs, regardless of their distribution method." The adCode supports dual stereo audio with MPEG and Dolby®Digital AC3 encoding, with frame-accurate control. "The adCode is a useful commercial creation production tool capable of encoding MPEG 2 video for DVD, Video-on-Demand, Play-to-Air servers and other devices," President, Kevin Ancelin, said. "The adCode also becomes an emulation Video Tape Recorder and can be controlled by Apple Final Cut Pro, Final Cut Express, iMove and Adobe Premier directly from the timeline.
