| NASHVILLE, TN -Adtec Digital's Soloist 2 Broadcast MPEG players and multimedia edje-1013 decoder are providing localized and customized content for "Cinematrix," a multi-sensory thematic theater at the Israel National Museum of Science, located in the historic Technion building in Haifa. The "Cinematrix" auditorium, created by the Smart Theater Network, features a variety of interactive 4D programs yielding an educational and unique experience. The installation was designed by systems integrator, BARKAI Benny Brookstein Ltd. "Adtec's Soloist 2 MPEG players and edje-1013 decoders allow the 'Cinematrix' to attract museum visitors for a high-quality, distinctive audiovisual presentation," BARKAI Owner and Managing Director, Ronen Brookstein, said. "The initial investment of the technological upgrade is expected to be returned after just one operational year. We've created a unique attraction that will duplicated worldwide in the future." Adtec's Soloist 2 delivers broadcast-quality video and audio while allowing sophisticated scheduling, playback verification and hours of storage. Adtec's edje-1013 is a hard drive based digital video player and network appliance, designed for integration into global multimedia networks. "The "Cinematrix" will accommodate 50 visitors at a time for a 24-minute program," Brookstein said. "The debut program at the museum is called 'Journey through the Universe.'" The program includes original 3D (stereoscopic) footage and authentic 2D segments from NASA and BBC. It also incorporates an integral interactivity system that allows the visitors to influence the program and participate in a "Space Academy" trivia game. "Another exciting feature of the "Cinematrix" Smart Theater is the 'Smart Seats,'" Brookstein said. "These seats look like luxury cinema seats, but they have dual motion capability, three built-in ticklers, a scent system, air and water effects, personal speakers and a personal interactive remote control."
