| NASHVILLE, TN - Adtec Digital recently partnered with Verimatrix to provide an advanced IPTV conditional access solution, combining Adtec's DTA media router line and Verimatrix's Content Authority System.
"The partnership in technology eliminates the need for a Windows-based IP scrambler by incorporating the AES scrambling capabilities of Adtec's DTA line with Verimatrix's subscriber management system," Adtec President, Kevin Ancelin, said. "In addition, the AES encryption applies to the audio and video payloads, not the IP multicast packets." In addition, Adtec's edjeGuide, IPTV middleware, is a robust, full-featured middleware designed to control set top boxes and Adtec decoders, providing the customer with a convenient onscreen guide for program selection. The edjeGuide is fully integrated with Tribune Media program listing, VOD and soon, full support of Verimatrix's CAS system. "The edjeGuide maximizes security, permitting different security levels including guest (status only), operator (adds control) and administrator (adds configuration)," Ancelin said. "The edjeGuide also provides a view listing, decoder status, channel history, program preview and a quick overview of the system."
