NASHVILLE, TN – Adtec Digital will display its unique family of broadcast-quality, content delivery products during the NCTA show in New Orleans, May 2-5, at booth # 4355. "We will offer hands-on opportunities to check out our scalable, cost-effective digital television delivery solutions, secure IP distribution and digital ad-insertion solutions," Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Ron Johnson, said. The digital television (DTV) area will exhibit Adtec's edje-2100 RTE and edje-3000 Digital Media Router delivering a DVB/ASI compliant MPTS to a QAM modulator and low-cost, offshore set-top, utilizing Irdeto Access's CA system. Additionally, the multiplex will be simultaneously routed to Ethernet for delivery to an IP set-top. "Our digital television solutions are mature and available now, delivering solutions for customers with a diversity of needs," President, Kevin Ancelin, said. Adtec's ad insertion solutions include Digital into Analog (DIA), Digital into Digital (DID) and Digital into Transport (DIT) or splicing. "The market demand is only now starting to ramp up to the point where a commercial solution is viable," Cable and Broadcast Sales Manager, Scott Pierce, said. "By supporting Analog switched, Digital uncompressed switched and now, Transport-level insertion (splicing), Adtec is now positioned to support global broadband operators' ad insertion needs, regardless of their distribution method." Adtec's single-rack unit DPI-1200 Ad Splicing Server is ideally suited to serve the multi-channel cable market by interfacing with Terayon's CherryPicker DM 3200 Ad Splicer. Adtec will also show its Traffic and Billing Gateway Server (TBGS) at NCTA. "The TBGS allows seamless integration with a variety of popular analog and digital ad insertion systems," Pierce said. "The real value of the TBGS is its ability to unite with the DPI-1200 Ad Splicing Server into any system, facilitating deployment of DIT."
