Kevin Ancelin , in a session titled “Profiting Through Private Video Networks,” will cover topics including distribution of content via TCP/IP network, video encoding and decoding, narrowcasting, digital signage, digital bit stream splicing, store forward video technology, and verification of program delivery and playback.

            “PVN’s are the future of all television broadcasting,” Ancelin said.  “The emergence of PVN’s has introduced a new way to deliver a familiar television format repurposed at a turnaround and positioned for a specific target market.”

            Adtec’s edje-2100 encoders, DTA line of multiplexers, edje-L satellite receivers and Duet commercial inserters act as a PVN hub and offer a complete PVN solution.

            An advantage to a PVN is the removal of national advertisements that may “compete” with the host facility’s own advertisements.
