| NASHVILLE, TN - Adtec Digital is shipping its new MPEG 4 Part 10 (H.264) AVC Real Time encoder for IPTV applications. The product will be on display April 16-19 at NAB in Las Vegas, NV.

The edje-4000 combines pre-processing, and AVC video for exceptional picture quality. In addition, the product utilizes low-bandwidth AAC audio and maintains perfect lip sync, all on a very low power budget. The edje-4000 includes composite video and balanced stereo audio inputs, with SDI video supporting embedded audio as an option. Compressed AVC video and AAC audio are streamed via Fast Ethernet, or captured using the optional internal hard drive. Stream format is industry-standard MPEG 2 transport. Built for broadcasting, it supports closed-captioning per ATSC A53/D, SCTE 35 and SCTE 104 ad insertion cueing protocols, and AES encryption without an external encryptor.
