Adtec MPEG players selected for acclaimed Grossology exhibit

NASHVILLE, TN –     Adtec Digital's edje-DVD players were recently chosen to control Advanced Exhibits Grossology, a 5,000 sq. ft., international touring exhibition, exploring the impolite science of the human body.
"After experiencing problems in our first tour, with another manufacturer's MPEG video players, we turned to Adtec for a replacement solution," Advanced Animations System Engineer, Ron Systo, said. "We chose the Adtec edje-DVD for the ability to update video content and command files through the auto-load DVD option."
The edje-DVD is a hard-drive based digital video player and network appliance that facilitates dynamic MPEG and Bitmap audiovisual presentations. "What a dream come true," Systo said. "We went from weekly service calls to no service calls at all."
Advanced Exhibits, a division of Advanced Animations produced the Grossology touring exhibition.
"The exhibit is very hands-on," Systo said. "Almost every unit in the exhibit contains video, animation or mechanical interaction to explore why our bodies produce mushy, oozy, crusty, scaly and stinky things."
Applications for Adtec Digital products include museums, themed attractions, stage shows, cruise ships, nightclubs and interactive multimedia presentations.
"We have over 20,000 MPEG players and encoders deployed worldwide," Adtec VP of Sales & Marketing, Ron Johnson, said.
