Brasvideo Adds Adtec Digital to Broadcast Product Line


PORTO ALLEGRE, BRAZIL — Brazilian systems integrator Brasvideo has added Adtec Digital’s high and standard definition encoders to their broadcast product line.
      Brasvideo featured Adtec's encoders at the 18th annual SET Broadcast and Cable show in August in Sao Paulo, where they aroused great interest in the Brazilian marketplace. The award-winning mediaHUB-HD 422, Adtec’s MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 high definition encoder, received positive responses and enquiries from several leading contribution companies and major television stations.
      Fernando Monetti, Latin American Sales Manager for Adtec, and Ricardo Malkes, Engineer for Brasvideo, are working closely together to position Adtec’s innovative products in Brazil. Adtec's mediaHUB-HD 422, mediaHUB-HD Pro and edje5110-RM encoders support high and standard definition contribution applications, while the edje-4000 encoder supports distribution of video over IP.
      Monetti predicts, “Brasvideo will become the leading provider of encoders for the Brazilian contribution market."
