Peak Uplink Expands High Definition SNG with Adtec Digital MediaHUB-HD-Pro

NASHVILLE, TN — Colorado-based satellite transmission services company Peak Uplink has expanded its ability to deliver high definition contribution with the Adtec Digital mediaHUB-HD-Pro MPEG 2 high definition encoder.
      With a fleet of seven SNG trucks spread across six states in the Rocky Mountain Region, there are very few places in the West that Peak Uplink does not reach. Because they offer various sizes of trucks from a suburban to a full size 28' SNG truck, they can get into any size environment to transmit breaking news, live sports and entertainment.
      Peak's success strategy is based on hiring the best engineers and providing them with equipment they can take pride in. The end result is stellar service to their customers, who include all the major television networks.
      All of Peak Uplink's trucks are less than five years old and fully redundant. The HDTV SNG's are the first of their kind, built on the premise of a traditional SNG truck to include all test and measurement equipment and complete redundancy that would be found in a standard definition SNG.

      The mediaHUB-HD Pro is a real-time contribution-quality MPEG 2 high definition encoder. It is designed to support the most demanding contribution, distribution and studio encoding requirements. The auto-detect HD/SD-SDI video input eliminates the need for user resolution and frame rate configuration. It boasts dual stream on-board audio encoding of Dolby Digital and MPEG 1 Layer 2 audio with Dolby E and Dolby 5.1 passthrough support.
      Standard features include three ASI outputs as well as a GIGE output, AES3 Digital Audio, SDI and analog audio inputs and BISS 1/E encryption. User interfaces include an easy-to-use front panel interface and on-board web application server for configuration and monitoring. Unique features include a built-in confidence decoder with HD/SD-SDI, HDMI and D1 outputs and "constant capture" hard drive acquisition for studio, contribution and distribution applications.
