Digital Broadcasting Solutions:

Leading the line up is Adtec's mediaHUB-Pro 02, a real-time Contribution-quality MPEG 2 Standard and High Definition encoder. The mediaHUB-Pro 02 is designed to support the most demanding Contribution, ATSC, DVB and IPTV MPEG 2 Distribution applications. The Studio version of the mediaHUB-Pro 02 encodes Cable Labs VOD and DPI compliant MPEG 2 Transport Streams. The Pro’s auto-detect HD/SD-SDI video input eliminates the need for user resolution and frame rate configuration. It boasts dual stream on-board audio encoding of MPEG 1 Layer 2 audio including support for Dolby E and Dolby 5.1 pass-through. Optional dual stream Dolby Digital AC3 encodes can be added with a simple software key either at the factory or in the filed. Standard Adtec transport interfaces include three ASI copper outputs with included support for transport over GIGE. Audio inputs include AES3 Digital Audio, SDI and Analog audio. BISS 1 and BISS E encryption is an option that can be field activated with a simple software key, no hardware required. The Pro’s user interfaces include a comprehensive easy-to-use front panel interface, on-board Web application server for configuration and monitoring plus SNMP 2.0C MIBS. Unique features of the Studio version include a built-in confidence decoder with HD/SD-SDI, HDMI and D1 outputs.

Also featured will be the Soloist-HD Pro high definition MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 AVC/H.264 broadcast decoder that supports GIGE and Hard Drive Transport Stream decoding. Video outputs include D1 (composite), HDMI with HDCP and HD-SDI with embedded audio.

End to End Contribution:

The Adtec EN-80/81 DSNG contribution encoder/modulator is designed specifically for Tier 1 Satellite, ASI/Fiber and IP contribution and DSNG applications. This, Adtec’s fifth generation encoder, comes with an impressive list of standard features and a wide range of options, allowing minimal initial investment and an upgrade path for future applications. With temporal and spatial filtering for standard definition, and advanced motion compensated temporal filtering for high definition, the EN-81 series delivers excellent-quality video. Audio encoding highlights include up to eight (8) pairs of audio encoding and advanced audio mapping capabilities. Designed for mobility and durability, all Adtec EN Series sport a front panel design with an expanded menu system and additional key pad options, making configuration quick and easy. Additional methods of control and configuration are available via Adtec’s on-board web-based application and SNMP.

The RD-60 integrated receiver decoder (IRD) supports MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 AVC/H.264 platforms with 420 and 422 high and standard definition decoding. The RD-60 decodes both MPEG 2 and MPEG 4 AVC/H.264 video with 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 chroma sampling. It boasts four pairs of stereo audio including MPEG 1 Layer 2, Dolby AC3/5.1, HE-AAC, AAC-LC audio decoding. Passthrough support includes PCM, DolbyE/2.0/5.1and Linear Acoustic Stream Stacker. The RD-60 supports redundant AC or DC dual-power supplies, enhanced control and monitoring via SNMP and browser. Standard inputs include IP and ASI with optional dual DVBS/S2 tuner demodulator supporting Q/8PSK. An optional high end Newtec DVBS/S2 tuner demodulator supporting QPSK up to 32APSK is available.
